THIS APPEALS CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("the International Tribunal"),
BEING SEISED of an oral application made by Mr. Milan Vujin on 12 October 1999 ("the Motion") for the remainder of the testimony in these proceedings to be in closed session,
NOTING the various Orders for Protective Measures issued by the Appeals Chamber in this matter, granting pseudonyms to certain witnesses already heard in these proceedings and for their testimony to be given in closed session ("the protected witnesses"),
HAVING HEARD the arguments of the parties in closed session on 12 October 1999,
CONSIDERING that the remainder of the testimony is expected to refer repeatedly to the protected witnesses and to the content of their testimony, and that it will be necessary for the remainder of the testimony to be heard in closed session in order to ensure the safety, security or non-disclosure of the identity of the protected witnesses,
HAVING GRANTED THE MOTION orally by majority, Judge Nieto-Navia and Judge Hunt dissenting, on 12 October 1999,
PURSUANT TO RULE 79 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal,
HEREBY CONFIRMS THE ORDER that the remainder of the testimony in these proceedings shall be heard in closed session and that edited records and transcripts of the sessions shall be released to the public and to the media only after review by the Victims and Witnesses Section and redaction of any information that may tend to identify any of the protected witnesses.
